Boy Kanin Supports Ronda Pilipinas 2018: Boy Kanin-Starken Cycling team has partnered with the recently concluded Ronda Pilipinas 2018 as one of its main sponsors.
For those who have been following our journey at MB Flavored Rice Corporation, makers of food kaninderya franchise, Boy Kanin. Boy Kanin is fast becoming recognized as the go-to eatery for most Filipinos because of our budget-friendly quality meals. These past years, you’ve witnessed how we’ve brought together and helped support the cycling community towards a life of meaning, service, and excellence—giving out our support one meal box, one cycling team, one purposeful moment at a time.
For those who might not be aware, it had always been Boy Kanin’s advocacy to help the Filipino cyclists. Our President and CEO, Mr. Ronald Callao is the son of former cycling champion and he’s also a sportsman and is also into cycling. Mr. Callao proudly claims that he’s got a “dugong siklista, pusong siklista” in his genes. That’s why it comes as no surprise that Boy Kanin also had its own Boy Kanin-Starken Cycling team and has partnered with the recently concluded Ronda Pilipinas 2018 as one of its main sponsors.
Ronda Pilipinas is the much-anticipated annual professional road cycling competition held in various parts of the country. In celebration of Boy Kanin’s 5th anniversary, Boy Kanin has awarded the Ronda Pilipinas 2018 grand champion, Villasis Pangasinan’s pride, Ronald Oranza his very own Boy Kanin business franchise amounting to Php300,000.
One of the country’s finest cyclists, Oranza conquered the 2018 Ronda Pilipinas title in dominant fashion and national standout. Oranza, 25, has fulfilled one of his goals for this year. The Pangasinan pride is now basking in the glow of his first major title since joining the elite race in 2011. Oranza finished the race in aggregate time of 34 hours, 11 minutes and 23 seconds to finish ahead of defending champion Jan Paul Morales by a whopping 11 minutes.
The third-year Private First Class has topped the race and bagged his purse with P1 million cash, a beautifully-crafted trophy designed by architect Quin Baterna, Php300,000 worth of Boy Kanin Franchise with his fellow navymen who asserted their full dominance in the country’s biggest race anew.
Oranza said he’s happy to share a part of his prizes to his team mates. He feels also blessed to have won the Boy Kanin franchise as part of his winning this year’s Ronda Pilipinas 2018 title. “Hindi naman kasi tayo laging malakas, syempre, tatanda din tayo,” he said. Oranza said he looks forward to being part of the Boy Kanin family as he’s now officially one of the business franchisers. Suffice to say, he’s got a fall back if and when he plans to retire from the sport he’s loved for years. “That is our goal and advocacy. It’s our way of giving back. We’d like to give our athletes the support that they need as well as to provide them with business opportunity so that they have other sources of livelihood when they decide to retire from cycling,” says Mr. Callao.
Running a business may entirely be different from cycling. Business may require persistence and business savvy, but one has to put in efforts in order to learn and succeed. Motivation and work ethics are the secrets. For Oranza and those dreaming to own a business franchise, they just have to experience first-hand of what it takes to run a successful Boy Kanin business franchise.
