The snazzy new Boy Kanin branch offers some sweet new spaces for customers to chill out in, including The Attic-like structure. Boy Kanin – Tuguegarao is Designed & Build by Arch. Cenon Cesar M. Lumor of Tier One Architects. For this particular Boy Kanin branch, Arch. Lumor said that he had designed the façade which resembles a silhouette of a house. “It also somehow resembles a big arch gate which is inspired by Tuguegarao’s nickname/alias “Gateway to the Ilocandia and the Cordilleras.”
The 6 red Tubular pillars symbolize the number of years of Boy Kanin in the business. The Fiesta Ceiling meanwhile gives off a modern way without showing the literal banderitas [small flags used during town fiesta or festivities.], it provides the festive vibe for the customers.
There’s also the ceiling chandelier in the Boy Kanin area inspired by the Pinoy Party Games [larong Pinoy] called Pabitin.
The walls on the other hand is inspired by the bahay na bato. We have faux bricks finish, inspired in Spanish era. To cater to millennials, there’s also a “hugot wall” which is inspired on witty Pinoy sayings—that make each customer smile upon entry.
